Aggression Hostile action directed at someone or something often in the form of a general physical or vocal disruption.
Agitation Anxiety accompanied by restlessness and resulting in increased psychomotor activity with disruptive physical and/or vocal behavior.
Delusions False ideas, sometimes originating in misinterpretation, but firmly believed and strongly maintained in spite of obvious proof or evidence to the contrary. Delusions may be suspicious in nature, for example, "Someone is stealing my checks!"
Hallucinations A sensory experience where a person sees, hears, or feels something or someone that is not audible or visible to anyone else.
Interdisciplinary care team A team comprised of more than 2 professionals from different health care disciplines dedicated to the ongoing and integrated care of one patient, set of patients, or clinical condition.
Problematic behaviors (syn: Disruptive behaviors) Problematic behaviors are those that interfere with the patient's ability to function or create harm or the potential for harm to the patient, caregivers (family or facility staff), or others (e.g. family members or other facility residents).
