The Central Plains Geriatric Education Center (CPGEC) at the University of Kansas Medical Center engages in a number of activities dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare provided to older adult populations in our region. It is probably best known for its continuing education programs targeted to interdisciplinary audiences of practicing healthcare and human service professionals. These programs typically originate on our campus in Kansas City and are delivered simultaneously to sites across the region through the use of interactive televideo (ITV) and by web cast using Adobe Connect. Our upcoming public program offerings are listed below. For more information on a program, including the program locations, click on the program title. From the program detail page you will have the option to register online for the program.

Another major initiative for the CPGEC is the Link for Care web site, which may be found at www.linkforcare.org. As a portal to a vast array of services throughout the KC metropolitan area, it was developed as a community service for Kansas City’s older adults, veterans, adults with disabilities, family and friend caregivers, and health and human service providers, including discharge planners.
